Intern Spotlight: Skyler Cook
We are excited to highlight one of our talented Engineering Interns from our Logan, UT facility, Skyler Cook. Skylar started in 2024 with our Summer Internship Program. He enjoyed the experience and decided to continue his journey with us through our Co-Op program while he attended school. Skylar is making remarkable strides during his internship AND co-op.
1. What school do you attend, and what is your major?
I attend Utah State University, and I am majoring in Electrical Engineering.
2. Why did you choose TTM for your internship?
I chose TTM for my internship because I was interested in PCBs. I also heard great things about the intern program.
3. What are you enjoying most about your internship journey so far?
I love the company structure. At the local level, the company has the feel of a small business, where you work closely with local management to solve problems. However, there is also a large corporate structure that introduces exciting advancement opportunities and networking events.
4. What project are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the automated lifter I built to clean the resin off the steel plates used in the Press.
5. Would you recommend the TTM internship program to fellow classmates?
I would highly recommend the internship program to my fellow classmates because the projects you work on actually matter.
As an intern, you are given real projects with important implications for the company. You are given the support needed to complete your project, but you are also given the autonomy to come up with a solution yourself.
6. Can you share any interesting facts or hobbies about yourself?
I am an avid outdoorsman. I love hiking, skiing, golfing, and running, which is why I love being in the mountains in Utah!
Skyler’s journey with us exemplifies the dynamic and enriching opportunities our internship program offers. We are proud to have him as a member of our team!
