More About TTM's Power Encapsulated Modules
TTM is a leading supplier of microcircuits to the aerospace, space and defense markets, and is certified and qualified to MIL-PRF-38534 for both Class H (military) and Class K (space) microelectronics.
TTM is one of the preeminent suppliers of high-power encapsulated modules for use in harsh or extreme environments. Most models utilize lightweight, high-strength aluminum silicon carbide ("AlSiC") base plates that stay flat and won't warp like copper. Rugged materials and construction techniques allow most models to survive HAST and thermal cycling from -55° C to 125° C. Typical voltages are 600, 1200, and 1700 volts, while currents range from 150 amps to 1200 amps. The switches are typically high-performance insulated gate bipolar transistors or silicon carbide MOSFETs with matching diodes. These modules have been designed for demanding high-performance applications such as aerospace and industrial inverters for wind and solar power generation. Custom designs are regularly accommodated for unique applications.
