More About TTM's Motor Controllers
TTM is a leading supplier of microcircuits to the aerospace, space, and defense markets and is certified and qualified to MIL-PRF-38534 for both Class H (military) and Class K (space) microelectronics. We offer a wide range of motor controllers to suit most servo control and speed control applications. We have a wide range of three-phase brushless DC motor controllers for controlling the current loop of a servo application.
Our current mode controllers (torque amplifiers) for three-phase BLDC motors range from 55 volts to 500 volts and from 5 amps to 30 amps. These controllers will drive BLDC motors in trapezoidal mode using hall sensors for commutation. These controllers have been used in missile fin controls, antenna pointing in UAV, ground and vehicle applications, optical tracking systems, and aircraft flight control surfaces.
Package options range from hermetic to plastic encapsulated to open frame PCB assemblies for all environments. We have developed a series of digital mode controllers for torque control using analog inputs, CAN bus digital command control with field-oriented control operation in both torque and speed, and sensor-less speed control for BLDC applications. These represent the cutting edge of microelectronic motor control development. Many of our motor control offerings began as custom designs, and there is the possibility of custom variations on our present motor control line.
