Intern Spotlight: Matthew Howland

We are excited to highlight one of our talented 2024 HR Operations Interns, Matthew Howland, who is making remarkable strides this summer at TTM Technologies.

1. What school do you attend? What is your major?

I am a senior studying Human Capital Management at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN.

2. Why did you choose TTM Technologies for your internship?

I chose TTM Technologies because of its vast network and opportunities, the atmosphere it provides, and (most importantly) the people I get to work with.

3. What are you enjoying most about your internship journey at TTM Technologies so far?

At TTM Technologies, I have had the opportunity to conduct meetings with all of the North America based HR facility managers. This opportunity has allowed me to understand TTM on a deeper level, as every facility is different with their own policies/procedures and operations. It was a great experience to learn and understand the individual needs that every facility has.

4. What project are you most proud of?

I am putting together an inventory of policies/procedures and an inventory of job descriptions for TTM North America. Being able to sit down with the HR managers has been key to my success. I have been able to dive deep into how the facilities operate in their own unique, yet united way based on their function within TTM Technologies.

5. Would you recommend the TTM Technologies internship program to fellow classmates? Why?

I would absolutely recommend interning at TTM Technologies to my fellow classmates. TTM allows independence when working while providing support when needed. It is also a unique learning experience with room for growth.

6. Any interesting facts about you or any hobbies?

Some things that are unique about me is that I love Star Wars, doing outdoor activities (particularly watersports), and setting up pro pyrotechnic firework displays.
