Intern Spotlight: Ciara O'Donnell

We are excited to highlight one of our talented 2025 Process Engineer Interns from our Syracuse, NY facility, Ciara O’Donnell. She is making remarkable strides this summer at TTM Technologies.

1. What school do you attend, and what is your major?

I attend Rochester Institute of Technology, and I am majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

2. Why did you choose TTM for your internship?

I chose TTM for my internship because I liked the people I met during my interview, the mentor program, and I like that each intern project gets assigned a process engineering intern.

3. What are you enjoying most about your internship journey so far?

I’m enjoying getting to work on a variety of tasks and with different people. Everyone is helpful, and I’ve gained a lot of hands-on experience.

4. What project are you most proud of?

I am most proud of the Air Actuated Bullet Puller I designed. It helps operators insert and extract bullets with less force and in a more ergonomic way.

5. Would you recommend the TTM internship program to fellow classmates? Why?

I would highly recommend the TTM internship program to my fellow classmates because the projects you work on are large and impactful.

You’re given a mentor to guide you, but you are treated as a full-time employee with the ability to come up with your own ideas for executing your project. Everyone who works here is very friendly and willing to help when needed. It is nice to be part of this team.

6. Any interesting facts about you or any hobbies?

I enjoy hiking, especially to waterfalls across Central New York. I also like reading fantasy books and exploring local bookstores.

Ciara’s journey is a testament to the value of hands-on experience. Our internship program is designed to be a game changer, providing interns like Ciara with the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios.
